On November 16, 2020 at 7:55 a.m., Hampton Township Police responded to Royal View Drive and Sample Road for a utility pole that had been struck by a tractor trailer. Upon the officer's arrival, they located a utility pole that was sheared in half and was hanging by electrical lines. There were also utility wires that had fallen on nearby vehicles. The tractor trailer had reportedly fled the scene. Duquesne Light Company responded to the scene to fix the damaged utility pole and associated wires. The operator and vehicle in question were located a short distance away from the accident scene.
