On December 16, 2020 at 12:49 p.m., Hampton Township Police responded to West Hardies Road for a two vehicle accident. Upon the officers arrival, they found that one involved vehicle had been parked in a driveway and was not occupied at the time of the collision. The second vehicle was found to be turned over on its side. No injuries were reported at the time of the crash. The operator advised that the vehicle slid on ice while attempting to come to a stop for a vehicle that was stopped ahead in the roadway. The vehicle was sliding on ice, so in an attempt to avoid striking that vehicle, the operator went into the yard of a property and ultimately struck a parked, unoccupied vehicle in the process. The overturned vehicle was towed from the scene.
