On May 26, 2021 at 9:28 p.m., Hampton Township Police were dispatched to West Hardies Road, near South Pioneer Road, for a report of a motorcycle accident. The reporting party advised dispatchers that they observed an individual lying in the roadway beside a motorcycle that was on it's side. Upon the responding officer's arrival, they located an individual trying to pick up the motorcycle from the roadway. Upon speaking with the operator, they stated that they were traveling north on South Pioneer Road and came upon the intersection at West Hardies Road. The operator said that they were about to turn right onto West Hardies Road, when another vehicle traveling east on West Hardies Road "brake checked" them, causing them to lose control of the motorcycle. During the conversation, the officer observed signs of impairment. The operator was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI.
