On March 12, 2022 at 8:33p.m., a Hampton Township Officer was on routine patrol in the area of William Flinn Highway, near Harts Run Road when they saw a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and making aggressive lane changes without the use of a turn signal. The officer initiated a traffic stop by utilizing their overheard emergency lights. The vehicle then pulled into the parking lot of Alpine Pools. Upon approaching the vehicle, the officer observed the driver to have slurred speech, red glossy eyes and smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the vehicle. The officer requested the driver submit to a series of field sobriety tests, in which the driver agreed. Based on the totality of circumstances, the driver was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol.
