On 05/28/2022 at 8:12p.m., Hampton Township Police were dispatched to West Hardies Road, for a report of a two vehicle accident with no injuries. The reporting party requested Police due to the driver of the other vehicle becoming argumentative and aggressive. Responding officers determined that the accident occurred at the intersection of Wildwood Road and West Hardies Road. Two vehicles were said to be involved. The operator of one vehicle stated that they were in the westbound lane of Wildwood Road near the intersection of West Hardies Road waiting at a red traffic signal when they felt a small collision at the rear of their vehicle. The operator made contact with the driver of the other vehicle and believed that the driver of the truck was intoxicated. Officers made contact with the operator of the second vehicle and observed signs of impairment. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest for DUI.
