On 06/23/2022 at 4:33 p.m., Hampton Twp Police were dispatched to the intersection of William Flinn Hwy and Mt. Royal Blvd. for a report of a vehicle that went over a hillside, with unknown injuries reported. Prior to arrival, dispatch reported that the driver self-extricated and was not injured. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the driver and confirmed that he was not injured and denied needing medical attention. The operator stated that he has a service dog that was sitting on the passenger seat, and all of a sudden the dog jumped onto his lap causing him to lose control of the vehicle. The driver stated that he struck a curb and then flew over the hillside before coming to a stop. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
