On 9/19/2022 at 5:52p.m., Hampton Township Police were dispatched to the intersection of Ferguson Road and Ashland Court for a 3-vehicle accident, with unknown injuries. The first officer to arrive on scene observed a male lying on the side of the road. Hampton/Shaler EMS arrived shortly after to provide care. There were multiple injuries reported on scene. The collision was said to have occurred when one vehicle was traveling west bound on Ferguson Road and crossed over the center double yellow line, struck another vehicle, sending it into a spin. At this time, one vehicle continued forward into the opposing lane of travel and struck a third vehicle head on. One involved vehicle also struck a utility pole. All vehicles were towed from the scene due to substantial damage and multiple occupants were transported to the hospital.
