On 01/16/2023 at 4:08 p.m., Hampton Township Police responded to a report of a road rage incident. The responding officers were advised by the complainant that the driver of another vehicle had been following their car very closely while they were traveling home. They did not want the other driver to follow them to their residence, so they pulled to the side of the road to let the vehicle pass by. Instead, the vehicle pulled over as well and the operator got out of their vehicle and was yelling at the reporting party. The complainant was able to provide officers with a registration plate for the vehicle in question. When officers intercepted the other vehicle operator, the driver displayed multiple indicators of impairment. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI.
