A resident called the station to report that she was the victim of an unemployment scam. the resident received a 1099 in the mail for taxes purposes claiming that she received unemployment benefits in 2022. The resident had not received unemployment benefits and contacted the PA Unemployment office and filed a complaint with them. She was advised to also file a police report with her local Police Department. She was advised that she should monitor her credit report for any other suspicious activity.
