On 02/07/2023, the Hampton Township Police Department was dispatched for a fraud report.
The reporting party advised that she received a telephone call from an "unknown" telephone number earlier in the day. She advised that a male on the line told her that he was a representative from Border Control and Customs. The male advised that the Hampton Police were coming to her residence to "pick her up for getting cocaine mailed to her home from Mexico." She stated that she did not provide the individual any personal information but he did have her name, address, and telephone number. She stated that she suspected it was a scam however, wanted police to be aware. She was advised by Hampton Township Police that a report would be on file and if she locates any other suspicious activity that she should call 911.
