On April 7, 2023, at 12:12 pm, Hampton PD responded to a two vehicle accident on Rt 8 southbound near Hampton Plaza. One vehicle was struck in the rear while stopped in the left lane waiting for an opportunity to make a left turn. Both occupants were wearing their seatbelts, and no injuries were reported. No tows were needed.
