Beginning Monday, April 24th, PennDOT has contracted with Folino Construction to mill and overlay Route 8, from Wildwood Road in Hampton to Spencer Lane in Shaler. This work is expected to be completed by August/September of this year.
Work will begin at the Wildwood Road intersection, southbound lanes, with inlet work. PennDOT has granted Folino Construction conditional approval to work between 9 am to 6 pm daily in the southbound direction. Any northbound work will be done between 8 am and 3 pm.
The construction schedule may vary throughout the project based on the type of work being done, traffic congestion, etc.
If you travel Route 8, you have noticed recently that this section of Route 8 is in poor condition and resurfacing is needed. Thank you in advance for your patience during this project, it is much appreciated!!
