On June 7,2023, a reporting party came to the station to report that, while he was bicycling on June 2, in the northbound lane of Middle Road at the turnpike bridge, he got a flat tire. He observed a large screw had done the damage and saw a large quantity of deck screws lying in the shoulder of the roadway. He returned to the location and cleaned up the debris. He is unsure if the screws were intentionally placed there, or if they had fallen off a vehicle. He wanted our agency to be aware in the event there were further complaints of similar issues in that area.
