On November 7, 2023, at approximately 0020 hours, an Officer observed a red Nissan pull into the Allison Park Plaza lot, shut off its lights, and park. It should be noted that there are several closed businesses in this plaza, and no one should be parked in the lot after closing hours. Officers approached the vehicle and found a male in the driver seat and a female in the passenger seat, both seats were reclined. The male and female advised that they were going to take a nap. When Officers approached the vehicle, they immediately smelled the odor of burnt marijuana. The driver gave consent to search the vehicle. While searching the vehicle, Officers located a glass jar with a burnt end of a joint and a small amount of marijuana on the passenger side floor. Also, Officers located two 'Swisher' wrappers that were opened and had one remaining joint in each wrapper, 5 empty 'Swisher' wrappers, a broken THC vape pen, and a Jell-O shot in a plastic cup with a lid. 'Shake' (leftover marijuana residue) was also laying throughout the vehicle. Both parties stated that the marijuana and paraphernalia belonged to them both. Officers confiscated the marijuana and paraphernalia and advised both parties that charges would be sent via mail.
