On March 5, 2024, Offices were dispatched to the area of Oakbrook Court and Ferguson Road, for a two vehicle accident. Upon arrival, officers observed the aftermath of a head on collision between two vehicles.
The accident was said to have happened when Unit 1 attempted to turn left from Middle Rd. onto Oakbrook Ct. directly in the path of Unit 2 causing the vehicles to collide.
Both units were evaluated by Shaler-Hampton EMS and refused transportation to the hospital. Due to the severity of the accident, both units required a tow.
The driver of Unit 1 was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving while under the influence.
