On June 12, 2025, Hampton Township Police were dispatched to the area of Route 8 and Craighead Rd. for a tree down said to be blocking the southbound lanes of Route 8.
Upon arrival, Officers did observe the tree to be blocking both lanes of travel for Route 8 southbound. Officers were able to remove part of the tree, so the southbound left lane of Route 8 was passable. PENNDOT was notified and arrived a short time later, removing the tree without issue.
