On 11/01/2025, while conducting a routine traffic stop, a Hampton Police Officer approached the vehicle to speak with the driver at which time the odor of a malt or brewed alcoholic beverage was detected emanating from them as they spoke. The driver was asked to step out of the vehicle and submit to field sobriety tests due to the odor of alcohol and their admittance to consuming alcohol. The driver complied. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI.
