On April 29, 2015 at 12:45 PM Hampton Twp Police took a property issue report from a resident. The caller advised that she and her ex-boyfriend had just recently broken up. She stated that during the relationship, they purchased furniture together and both of their names were listed on the financial contract. The caller stated that the ex-boyfriend was making the payments on the furniture because he was working and she was going to college. The caller went on to say that the ex-boyfriend lost his job and is now not able to make the payments and that she just found out that she is now responsible for the payments and that it is effecting her credit. She said that they discussed several different scenarios on how to work the matter out, but have not had any luck. She wanted advice on what she should do. The caller was referred to a civil attorney or to district court.
