On August 31 at 1:32 PM, Police were dispatched to a one-vehicle accident into a fire hydrant on South Pioneer Road. The vehicle was found off of the roadway next to a sheered off fire hydrant in the 5000 block of South Pioneer Road. The driver stated she lost control on the bend. The driver was not injured. The vehicle was towed from the scene. Hampton Shaler Water Authority was contacted and they shut off the water to the hydrant.
