On September 9, at 10:58 PM, Police responded to the intersection of Route 8 and Hardies Road for a vehicle driving over the cones and onto the closed southbound lanes on Route 8 through the construction zone. At one point, a worker was almost struck as the vehicle continued through the closed lanes. Police were able to stop the vehicle and identify the driver. She was found to be under the influence of alcohol and placed under arrest. Charges have been filed
