  • Yes! We offer Open Gym Time for members and non-members of the Community Center!

    Please keep in mind, Open Gym times vary each month. During peak hours (after school and on weekends) Open Gym may reach maximum capacity. Please call 412-487-7870 ext. 1370 for additional information, including current capacity of the gym. 

    Open gym is FREE with a Fitness or Center Membership and $3 per day for a non-member. 

    Open Gym time is designated for non-structured free play opportunities. Scheduled, organized team practices and / or private instruction is not permitted during open gym times. 

    Any children under 10 years of age must be accompanied at all times by an adult (18 or older) as is the policy throughout the Community Center.

  • The Township of Hampton Department of Community Services (D.C.S) offers 3 miles of hiking trails within Hampton Community Park that provides hikers with a wide variety of scenery and terrain. Hikers of all abilities can find a trail suitable to their skill level for no charge. Always use the trails with courtesy and safety in mind. The township publishes a listing of all hiking trails and is available in the D.C.S office. To receive a copy, or for more information, stop by the department, between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, or call us at 412-486-0400, extension 1370.

  • Hunting on any Township of Hampton property, including Hampton Community Park, is prohibited. No exception! Anyone caught hunting will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

  • The Township of Hampton Department of Community Services tries to keep its park and facilities in excellent condition, but occasionally vandalism, misuse, neglect, or wear can leave a fixture in need of repair. If you witness damage to a park facility, please call us at 412-486-0400, extension 1370, to report the problem. For situations that warrant police assistance you should call 911. The Township of Hampton thanks you for your concern and assistance in these matters.

  • Volunteers are always welcome at the Township of Hampton Department of Community Services. We seek warm and enthusiastic people of all ages to volunteer a few hours or a few days a week to help out the department and their fellow citizens in the process. While need for certain positions varies from year to year and season to season, volunteers work throughout the department filling such roles as special events assistance, and athletic coach. Volunteers are unpaid citizens donating their time; people interested in employment should apply for jobs through the Department of Community Services office.     Pavilions can also be rented, in person, at the Hampton Community Center Service Desk during regular hours of operation. 

    Park pavilion reservations for Township residents will be accepted on a year-round basis, up to one year in advance. Nonresidents reservations will be accepted beginning April 1st of each year.

  • Please be aware of the following regulations for park use:

    • Advertising flyers and signage are prohibited
    • Beer / Alcoholic beverages are permitted in the park with a permit
    • Camping is prohibited except by permit
    • Charcoal use is restricted to barbecue grills, and no open fires are permitted
    • Dogs must be on a leash
    • Littering, dumping, firearms, hunting, and excessive noise are not permitted
    • Motorized vehicles are not permitted off roadways and are to park in designated areas only
    • No swimming, wading, ice skating or boating permitted on any park pond
    • Overnight parking is prohibited
    • Pavilions are available for rental
    • Pets are not permitted in pavilions, athletic fields/courts, playgrounds, pool

    The observance of these rules will help to make the park a safe and enjoyable experience for all who visit. For more information about the Hampton Community Park and its use, contact the Department of Community Services between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, at 412-487-7870 extension 1370.

  • The Township of Hampton Department of Community Services maintains 6 tennis courts in the community park located in the Sports Court Complex. These courts are not lighted and are open for free public use everyday except during department tennis lessons and school district tennis matches. Tennis courts may not be reserved. Participants provide their own racquets and balls; additional rules are posted by the courts. The Department of Community Services offers youth and adult tennis lessons during the summer. Sign ups are announced in department program brochure. For more information about tennis programs contact us between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, at 412-487-7870, extension 1370.

  • All members of the Community Center and Fitness Area must scan their membership ID at the Community Center Service Desk upon arrival. Membership ID cards will be issued to you at the Community Center Service Desk when you register for a membership. Member ID cards will automatically update when you renew your memberships, so be sure to keep your ID cards from year to year. 

    if you register for a new membership online, please visit the Community Center Service desk to have your photo taken for your member ID card. 

    If you do not have a membership and would like to use the Community Center facilities such as the track, fitness area and youth and adult lounges there is a $6 daily guest pass available. Please check in at the Community Center Service Desk upon arrival to pay for your daily pass and for any additional instructions or guidance that you should need. 

    All patrons who are 9 years of age and under must be supervised at all times by an adult 18 years of age or older. This includes the gymnasium area during open gym time.
