Carolynn Johnson joined the Hampton Township Council in 2018. She is the current Council President, serves as President of the North Hills Council of Governments’ Executive Board, and is the liaison to the Hampton Community Library and the Police and Fire Departments. She previously chaired the Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee and contributed to the redesign of the Township’s website.
Carolynn and her family moved to Hampton in 2005. She holds a doctoratein Cognitive Psychology from Purdue and attended Ohio Wesleyan University as an undergraduate. As a user-centered researcher and designer, her expertise lies in integrating insights gained from comprehensive research with the principles of cognitive psychology to create elegant and effortless products and processes.
Carolynn is committed to promoting an accessible, citizen-focused, plain-language approach to Hampton’s government. She also places great importance on fostering a stronger sense of community by increasing the frequency and variety of Township-hosted events and by enhancing connectivity among our neighborhoods.
